All you need is love….

and some fabulous hippie décor too!

At The Planning Company it is our goal for the Bride and Groom’s style to be uniquely expressed throughout their big day. We don’t want any of our couples to get a “cookie cutter” wedding experience with the same old decor! Can you say BORING?!?!

We hope this post inspires all of our brides and grooms to THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX and chose a wedding style that distinctively expresses their personalities!

Raiza and Eduardo did a lot of the planning themselves and we stepped in the day of the wedding to pull together some last minute details. Their wedding was also featured on TLC’s TV show Four Weddings a few weeks ago! Whoop! Whoop!

'Here’s a few of their fun details:

-All of the wedding guests were asked to wear all white! It truly made their color palette POP!

-The couple is very eco-friendly so they opted for button bouquets instead of costly fresh flowers that would just be thrown away. They also created escort cards from Mason jars that served both as a table number and as their drinking glass for the night!

-Each guest was given a mason jar with his or her name and table number tied to it. The jar not only served as an escort card but also doubled as their drinking glass for the night. What an awesome idea!

Thank you to Raiza and Eduardo for being such an AMAZING couple and allowing us to be a part of your BIG DAY! We love you!

A Gem of an Evening!

A great cause. A great venue. A great atmosphere. And great people.
What more could we ask for?

When the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation approached us about doing the décor for their 25th annual “Gem of an Evening” fundraiser, we were truly honored and excited to begin work on their décor concept!

The night of the event, the TPC team was hard at work filling the pavilion at The Flagler Museum with all sorts of fabulous details. Everything came together flawlessly and gave the already exquisite venue-that extra WOW factor. The dripping crystals, pewter chargers and snow-white floral balls POPPED against the regal navy blue pintuck linens. Extra little details included: Our logo-ed acrylics for displaying auction items from Tiffany & Co, mini signature martinis and a gorgeous '25' floral arrangement to celebrate the 25th year of the gala!

The night was a HUGE success for the foundation and a huge success for The Planning Company! A big thanks to everyone who made it "a gem of an evening."

Much Love,

Kristen & The TPC Ladies

TPC Out and About: Betsey Johnson Fashion Show

Walk, walk, fashion, baby!

The girls at The Planning Company are always up for a good time and a good fashion show! So Tuesday night we stopped by The Cottage in Lake Worth to check out Betsey Johnson's Spring Line for 2010.

At TPC we feel it's important to stay just as connected to the fashion world as we do the event world because a lot of the trends that are incorporated into events are inspired by FASHION! For example, people started wearing leggings all the time and (BOOM!) everyone is putting spandex on highboys. They're like leggings for tables! You see? :)

Anyways, back to the show! The models were fabulously fierce (to quote Tyra Banks) and the clothes were rocking. Just when you think you're seeing a cutesy little cardigan coming down the runway, the model abruptly turns and (BAM!) shows you a hot little blue-eyed vampire face that's been stitched into the back.

Betsey Johnson is so inventive as a designer and she has totally inspired the TPC team to push the envelope and develop decor ideas for events that will shock and WOW every guest (in a good way)! Thanks for a great show Betsey!

Much Love,

Kristen & The TPC Ladies

PS...Many thanks to our favorite Gaga, Jeff Fowler of The Breakers, for getting us in the front row to see the action up close and personal! Xoxo!
